Working with colors. Part Three

Colors change in accordance to their neighboring

Large object according to narrow line of the same color will seem to have distinct undertone when placed on white backdrop. The color of the line will appear deeper compared to in the rectangle, cause it’s enclosed by much light area.

 








Light color against white background will appear more paler than against dark background.














Color mindset

Our eyes see warm colors earlier than cold ones. Yet the level of saturation could make difference.

RED: extreme, exciting and attractive, cannot be ignore.
PINK: depending on saturation rouses different feeling shifts. Fuchsia are identified as sensual.
ORANGE: influences the desire for food and emits warmth.
BROWN: traditional, long lasting, associates with  our planet, home and stableness.
BLUE:  associates with quiet and tranquility.
GREEN: associates with nature and foliage
WHITE: associated with wholesomeness, feeling of clearness and simpleness.
BLACK: seems most remarkable, hefty, strong, traditional.
