Working with colors. Part One.

It’s said that color and visual things activate the right part of brain that equals to emotions, while text activates the left part of brain that equals to logic. Color and Typography stay the most significant factors in design. Whenever you blend them you catch the attention of the topic, reinforce effect, help out with setting up impressive identities and brand, set a feelings.

Let's analyze advantages in designing with color. No matter if you need to modify the color gamma of your website, or create a poster to catch the attention of people, as well as paint the rooms at home, most of these color basics will assist you in getting color-wisdom.

Make time to understand the color wheel.
All of colors of the wheel composed of 3 basics: red, blue, yellow. Once you mix the basics, you obtain 3 secondary colors: orange, purple, green. Once you mix each secondary color using its border basic, you obtain 6 tertiary colors: yellow-orange, yellow-green, blue-green, blue-purple, red-purple, red-orange. Now we have 12-color wheel.

Each color has a temperature: through the red-yellow part of the spectrum where it is warm and to the blue-purple part where it is cold. Color has an intensity which can be explained as saturation. Saturation is set by the amount of grey color. Higher intensity colors are bright and pure. Fewer saturated colors are  soft and demure. Each hue includes value, based on its lightness - darkness. While preparing to combine color, value and saturation tend to be as important as the color.
